Tallinn Cigar Club Celebrates Its 13th Cigar Weekend

The 13th edition of the Tallinn Cigar Weekend, held on August 16–17, once again proved why this gathering has become a true highlight for cigar lovers across Europe. The air above Tallinn was filled with laughter, jazz, and—naturally—the rich aroma of premium cigars, as aficionados from eight countries came together to share good company, fine dining, and unforgettable moments.

As a part of the weekend was the Slow Smoking Competition, a qualifier for the Cigar Smoking World Championships. More than 40 participants tested their patience and skill in a contest where slow and steady truly wins the race.

Moutai, one of the world’s most prestigious and iconic spirits, is an
official sponsor of Fine Spirits & Cigar Weekend.

Moutai is a traditional Chinese distilled liquor (baijiu) renowned for its rich history, cultural significance, and exceptional craftsmanship. With a legacy spanning over 800 years, Moutai is more than a drink — it is a symbol of heritage, diplomacy, and celebration. Often served at Chinese state banquets and diplomatic events, it represents the highest level of prestige in Chinese culture.

Exclusively produced in the town of Maotai, where unique climate and water quality shape its character, Moutai undergoes a complex production process involving multiple fermentations and distillations, then aged in clay jars for years. The result is a deeply layered flavor profile unlike any other spirit in the world.

Its limited production and global demand have made it one of the most sought-after and valuable liquors on the market — with rare bottles fetching up to $1.4 million at auction — elevating Moutai to the status of a collector’s treasure.

At Fine Spirits & Cigar Weekend, guests will have the opportunity to discover this extraordinary baijiu and experience a luxurious pairing of fine cigars and the legendary spirit of China.
